Welcome to the P-Box (Project Box) Category.
Beginning in the late 60's Radio Shack produced electronic projects come to be known as P-Box kits for hobbiests to build various things from AM, FM and Shortwave radios to electronic organs and "goofy lights" to name a few. Over the span of time that these were available, over 30 different kits were marketed. The kits themselves weren't a "P-Box" but rather, every kit came with one. The P-Box was the container the kit came in, and was also the platform on which you'd construct the kit.
These kits were quite reasonable, even by the mid 70's standards. As an example, a shortwave radio kit sold for $7.95. No kit sold for over $9. Keep in mind however that a tank of gasoline for your car would run you about $8.
Fast forward to present day, and you'll find that P-Boxes are now a piece of history. COREi64.com has re-imagined the P-Box concept, and brought it into present day We've created a basic P-Box that's reminiscent of the original in size and shape, and have also created a large version. Additionally we've created mounts for the more popular hobbiest platforms used today that conveniently mount on the P-Box build surface using a universal mounting system. Our P-Box allows you to construct projects like you did so many years ago, and furthermore utilize the finished product as a workable functioning platform as well as an attractive display item.
